Hey Gang,

It is COLD out here in NJ and the stock metal ring is FREEZING my hand. Rather than buy gloves for $4 I'd like to spend $30+ on a shift knob =]

I know Buddy Club makes one for Honda, basically looking for something like this:

only not as ugly...and one that fits an 09 MS3....

So any advice as to where I should look, size of thread, generic sites etc would be nice =P

(2thumbs)Buy an autoexe I like mine its kinda pricey tho but looks and fits perfect. Its not cold metal feeling during winter. It actually isnt any cooler than say my steering wheel or any other part inside its more of a resin feel than metal.

well i'd like to bring a little of my car's white exterior inside, thus the white shift knob was an idea.... does autoexe make a white knob?

how did it fit? same as the stock?

i used to own a sparco knob that i hated... it had 3 screws like a xmas tree stand that u had to torque down hence making it "universal fit" - more like fit like s*** and came off in more than one hard shift....

No white on the autoexe but it comes in carbon fiber get the dark if you buy one. Matches the interior IMO. It screws on just as stock basically with counter screw so logo is lines up perferct. (yes)

I live out in cali, and I used to have a metal and carbon fiver Nismo shift knob for my Spec V. In the summer it would get too hot to touch, and in the winter way too cold. All I did was buy an extra sunglasses pouch and use it as a pseudo-condom for the shifter. Worked out pretty well.

Also why don't you people just sack up and stop worrying about your delicate little hands. Jesus. "It's too cold, it's too hot," you god damn bunch of Goldilocks.

I always thought it would be cool to tap a cue ball with the red dot pointing up. Might take some skill to tap a pool ball but I've seen it done before.

thanks for that helpful addition to the thread

to everyone else, thanks for the tips/ideas, so far i'm leaning towards the exe and have semi given up on the idea of a white plastic one

LMFAO! Best post in the thread hehe.

Here's an easy solution. Go to the store and buy a pair of gloves with the fingertips cut, but with a mitten fold-over. Also, make sure it's got some form of grip on the inside of the palm. I put those suckers on everytime I go driving and I have no complaints, and can still use the radio functions and whatnot.

rofl! So true.

Sometimes my TWM shift knob will get too hot in the summer, but you know what I do? I don't rest my hand on it.

nubs =[ the intarwebs is full of them =[

gang, if you missed the subtle sarcasm in the first post, it isn't because of the cold that i'm lookin' for a knob, it is simply, to mod. to spice up the interior.

ugh... =\
