Reputable NYC repair shops?

Hi all,
Anyone from NYC have recommendations for quality places that have a clue how to work on your car? Nothing major- suspension/brakes, and who are potentially good with future engine work?

I haven't let a mechanic touch my cars/bikes in a decade, but have zero time now to do anything before winter hits...
