reprogramming

I recently purchased an 07 mazdaspeed3, and on the door jam it says that it was reprogrammed or something like that by the mazda dealership. I was just wondering what exactly that means. Sorry for the noob question.

it could possibly be the TSB that was available to the early batch of ms3 that needed an ecu flash.

ECM update for an earlier model 07. Apparently, it leaned the car out just a touch. Mine had the update. It was VIN specific.
