Replacing HU

Just curious if replacing the HU will give the stock speakers anymore juice. We all know the factory HU is underpowered. I am getting a new deck soon and eventually getting new speakers but not for a couple months.

Depends on the radio your going to replace it with. Typicaly most factory CD players are actualy better units then any aftermarket peice fo runder $200. Typicly if someone doesn't want to pass that threashhold then a new head unit for less than $200 we be a down grade the only time it ever meakes sense to do it is if a feature is needed such as a preout and for some MP3 capability.

If you were thinking of swapping out the factory radio for a cheap BestBUy Sony POS then save your money.

I agree on the Sony comment, but I have purchased 3 Pioneer units all under $200 (4300, 3300, 4400) and they were all great.
