Replacement shark fin antenna cover

Can I replace the cover for the shark fin antenna on my 2016 CX-5 GT without removing the entire antenna?

The cover has chips and looks bad, but I don't want to go through removing the headliner if it isn't necessary.

Thanks, is this just a cover or does it replace the existing cover?
My reception isn't great now, I'm afraid that if I add anything to cover it, I will lose even more reception
