Replace side-view mirror glass with anti-glare?

Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the side view mirrors with the anti-glare type (ala BMW, Infiniti, etc). I do not want to replace the mirror housing, just the glass itself.

Any thoughts anyone?

The glass is very hard to remove and insert in the frame. The best way to accomplish this is by using a heat gun on a low setting to get the framing around the mirror glass to soften. Then you have to carefully pop the glass out with a putty knife or similar object.

As for the availability of the style glass you are looking for i'm not too sure.

I was very interested in those as well... but since I got the tint glare is not a problem...

P.S. If you don't like tinted windows just put 35% tint on your mirrors... should do the trick...

I have 35% tint as well, and I don't want to tint the mirrors; I'd rather have the coating....IMHO, tint on the *outside* is pretty ghetto. I won't have it.

Yeah, I had seen that thread a while ago too; not sure if that's what I'm going for, but if they have that "bluish/aqua" anti-glare coating to them, I think that's the way to go.

BTW, I'm not shy about replacing the mirrors. Just another Saturday afternoon
