Repair slight damage to rim on MP5

I have a Protege 5 and we had some bad weather and The car slide and rubed the sidewalk, it left a small rub mark around the edge of the rim, about a couple inches long and about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Can I fix this? I'm afraid it may rust or something, I don't mind it it doesn't look brand new, but should I sand it and put something over it or something? Any advice would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

I would try calling around to hubcap type shops. They can do resurfacing work and may have some suggestions.

discounttire uses a wheel company to fix/do anything to want to a wheel, it runs about 125 per wheel reguardless of what you want them to do to it.

Stock rim is alloy, It won't rust.

Check your local yellow pages for wheel shops. I just dropped off my 17" Rota that is bent and cracked-140 bucks to fix! Curb rash should be much cheaper.
