Repainted my whole car

I had my car repainted with some repairs that had to be done to my car. My dad decided to hit my car while parked so the whole rear quarter had to be sprayed so it cost me an extra $ 1050.00 to do the rest.

- The car got painted a single stage black which means there is no metaillic in the paint what so ever as well as there is no clear coat so scratches shouldn't show nearly as bad.
- I had all of the rear badges removed
- pulled off the side moldings
- applied yellow rockblockers to the fogs
- " 20% Tinted " " " Taillights
- having problems with the tails wrinkling on me. Have another thread re.
- Purchased a new OEM lower grille to replace the billet grille I had before
- Painted my upper billet grille black to match the car.
- I'm still waiting to get my autoexe urethane lip back from paint so I can put that on.

Sweet shiny paint!

It's such a pain in the ass to keep black mica looking good.

What's your next mod?

single stage lasts pretty long. not as long as baseclear, but it does the job and its alot cheaper. that job looks pretty slick.

Looks sweet. But eek, with no clearcoat, I wonder how long it can look like that.

I agree. Like the rims though. You should drop it next.

man that looks nice!
but I am with some of the others on the clear. Not worried about longevity because single stage can last just fine but you will still see swirls and scratches....now they will just be harder to get out.

I do plan on lowering the car but not too much. This car is an extreme daily driver as I have almost 180,000 km on it. I am in sales and I drive my car quite a bit. I also don't plan on spending a whole lot of money on this car as I want to buy a truck for the wife so I can get her out of her piece of S##t. It's a little tough having a boat and no truck to pull it...but that's why I have friends. Also, I don't want to drive a P5 for too much longer once the truck is paid for.

Alright I'll stop you there, I don't want to get in to this Fing Chrome discussion. I have never understood the this car can have chrome and this one can't. A P5 is not a race car and I am not going for the Tuner/JDM look.

Not true. The great thing about single stage is the more wax you get on it the deeper the paint looks. As long as you keep a good coat of wax on it you will have no problems. I would get a random orbital buffer once the paint sets and cover that things with zanio.

looks really good. clear coats are where shops mess things up anyways. i've never seen a shop that can spray a clear coat without flaws.
