removing the Front Bumper License Plate Holder Cover

Can anyone tell me how to remove the FRONT BUMPER LICENSE PLATE HOLDER COVER from a 2013 Mazda2?
I have moved to Ohio, and they require a front license plate. It appears that I need to remove that cover so I can mount the front license plate. I can not tell how to remove it. What is the secret?

Just kinda pull at it. It's held on with 4 "tabs" so getting "under" one side and pulling out (forward) should get it off.

Yes, you just have to tug at it - apply firm increasing pressure as opposed to yanking on it so you don't break any tabs. The the two outer most tabs are vertical and the two more central tabs are horizontal and higher up, so start pulling with your hands from the bottom, and about half way out towards the end of the piece. I've had mine on and off a few times. You have to pull slightly harder than you'd like, but it comes off without a problem.

You are correct: it was requiring more effort than I liked. So I got my daughter to pull it off. She had no fear. She got it off and I got my plate mounted after a bit more tomfoolery.
