Removing the ac controls face

Has anyone been able to remove this? I see there are 2 clips on top and a few screws underneath, removed them all and nothing happens.

I know I could get the ENTIRE unit out, but i would need to trace some wires back. I just want the face off cause I spilled some crap on it and need to replace it.

open glove box, pull out the dash strip, unscrew 2 screws, your done

Hey, this may be a stupid question BUT how do u take the ac/temp knobs off??? Just pull??? I tried, but didnt want to break anything..they didnt come off right away.....lemme know thanks!

so, does that dash strip just pull right off? and once its off will it just stick back on?

Yes, dash strip just pull out towards you. Its held in by tabs. The driver side is the hardest one to get out. Yes, it goes back in fine.

AC Knobs, just pull also.

Im sorry for being such an idiot, but I cant get myself to just grab it and pull it off. Are there any tricks to it? Do i pull from the bottom? Is there a trick with the tabs or does it just require a little tough love?

at the bottom of one of his replys nappyjim said the ac knobs just pull off.....easy to miss

oops, thanks....Now all I have to do is find out where I saw those other knobs that looked so much better...hmmmm any suggests??, I know I saw it somewhere...

are you sure you werent seeing pictures of the controls without the knobs? cause without the knobs, the whole thing glows red...kinda cool at night, but in the day looks like crap.

no they were knobs...but they had some fake chrome on them...kinda like our OEM shifter
