FYI go to any mazda dealership and ask them if the v-6 puts 220 otu at the fly or the wheels "thats what mazdas site says the car has for hp" and they wil ltell u no one dynos cars off the fly anymore . its at the wheels .

couldent u just pull the fuse o nthe front trans axle and shut off the front wheel drive . ?
wait....you have a dyno showing over 200hp to the wheels in a V6??? i know it's not the topic, but i'd like more info on your car. i've been working with the 6 for 4 years, and have only seen one car over 200whp (without the bottle)and that was only by a few i believe. i'm with everyone else that the V6 will take a lot of work to get close to where the speed hits the 1/4 in stock form. my roomate, though an atx as well, was running 14.3 in the 1/4 running a 75shot, 245 on dyno....(next morning he needed a new engine).

You may be dynoing over 200 to the wheels, but that doesn't matter..... your car is a FWD which SUCKS for traction in the 1/4..... ask any professional racer...... we're not chewing your ass out....... we're just saying you running mid 13s is a far fetched idea...... when your track opens I'm sure you'll be a little more than surprised that you're not running mid 13s.....
On top of that these engines are the ford V6 powerplant, they're a little weak for the somewhat heavy mazda6....most people who have driven them say they could use more power (like me, I drive my gf's 6s hatch.....she has a CAI on it, which gives it a nice boost)

That's a very nice and clean car, where the heck did you park on the beach? I wanna get some shots like that for my car, I noticed you're in clearwater...... not very far from ft lauderdale.
On the other hand I'm not saying FWD cars in general suck.... they have good handling as they pull the car through the corner rather than "push" it like RWD....only when it comes to racing are FWD cars at a disadvantage, because getting traction is difficult....... that's something I don't think this guy understands....... if his 6 was RWD, he might be closer to high 13s ..... and with 220 to the wheels, if he had AWD, he'd probably be able to get similar times to a speed6....... but he has FWD so such is not the case for him.
I'm not worried, he'll go to his track when it opens and see he's not running mid 13s. I just hope I don't hear things like "the weather was bad, the track had poor traction" etc etc. (jerkit)

see and i don't agree with that FWD is not only at a disadvantage in the 1/4 mile, but also in track/road races. maybe not with low horsepower, but front wheel spin while trying to corner is not exactly my idea of a great handler..... . . .
