removing plastic hatch panel

Does anyone know the proper way of removing the plastic panel inside of the rear hatch ? I don't wanna just yank it off and break something accidentally.

i think it is just snapped on, but i would be interested to hear from someone whos done it.

I don't have my car yet, but you should be able to undo the strings and just lift it straight up. I don't remember seeing anything about it in the owners manual.

Which plastic panel?

-The carpet cover?
-Plastic around the inside of the cargo area
-Plastic on the tailgate itself
-The little scuff plate on the bumper for the rear (this was a option).

I can tell you how to take any panel out, just want to make sure which one you are asking about.

well i wanna debadge my car.. and i wanna fill-in the holes.. so it's the plastic cover directly behind the hatch.. samw place where the door lock is.

Ok cool. That big ole piece is held on by just clips (two styles)
There are roughly 12 clips (10 outside=4 on the top by the lock, 2 on each side, 2 on the bottom by the glass, then 2 in the center)

You can pull these off or use a taped up long screw driver (standard head) to disengage them.

Then there are 3 just pins in the middle that simply support the plastic.

Isn't to hard, just take your time, get a flash light to help see in there once you get a few disengaged.
