Removing intercooler for spark plug change?

Hi everyone! As a newly registered user, I would like to introduce myself. I am Justin from North Carolina, and own a 2006 MS6 GT. I have personally benefited from the wealth of knowledge on this forum, and registered to participate in the transfer of knowledge that benefits all viewers of these forums.(thumb)

Anyways, I've been scouring the internet, but couldn't locate any folks who have removed their intercooler to do a sparkplug changeout. I've removed the intercooler cover plastic piece (two 10 mm bolts), but that's as far as I got (wanted to do additional research so a don't screw anything up).

Does anyone have a writeup on this, or can anyone provide some of their experiences with this process?

The intercooler is easy, there are three nuts on it that you unscrew, and then you just lift it. You'll see that it is attached with three hoses, the two large boost tubes and the tube to the BPV. Just detach them (undo the clamps and pull them out) and the intercooler should be free. When I did this, my tubes were really, really tight, I had to break the seal by sliding a thin screwdriver inside the tube in order to loosen it.

There is a write up or two about the plugs here somewhere, make sure you read through it to get some pointers. You'll want to have some anti-seize ready for the threads, and you have to make sure the plugs are gapped properly. Any other questions, just ask, people will know the answer. Welcome.
