Removing Headliner

Well I went to the dent clinic to get the dents appraised. The guy recommeded if I have the time to remove the headliner myself as it will cut the cost of removing the dents by half. I know you have to remove the domelight, visors and oh sh** handles. Other then that what do I need to know before I tackle this project??

a pillars, pillars where the seat belts are.. not sure bout the back though.. I know I had to remove half the crap in the hatch area .. its a b**** to remove the entire headliner..

the most difficult part to remove from the car is the headliner....try not to bend it..i find it easier to remove thru passenger's side rear door....recline to it's fullest the passanger sit, tilt the headliner sideways and slide carefully not to FOLD bending is ok, but no 90 folds as it is made from a crappy matterial and will break.

i've done this on a car with sunroof (mazda 626) and i think it was harder since it had a metal trim in the middle where the sunroof goes...since msp's don't have sunroof...i think it'll be easier.

another thing...the headliner is held in the middle by something that looks like velcro but isn't exactly it..you'll have to pull on...don't be afraid...

Huh? please explain..

So im going to lower rear seats, remove tray, remove rear pillars, remove seat belt pilars, remove a pillars, osh** handles, visors, dome light and and the 3 or 4 clips by the back of the roof...does this sound about right ??

lower front seats, and yeah the rest sounds about right.....

it was easier to do when removing passenger seat off the car....but why go theu that trouble?
