Ok so I did this for a few reasons. I was bored, couldnt clean my FMIC and needed easier access, wanted it to stand out more(some might hate that) and people have been talking about it but I havent seen it done yet. Comments are welcome. I like it though and thats all that counts!!!

doesn't look that bad at all. the stock one won't keep out little rocks if they come in just right between the honeycomb anyways, but they keep large stuff out like trash bags and other debris.

i'd opt for some black couplers that red is not my thing.

plus if someone wanted no mesh to clean it easier, but not wanted it to stand out, you could just paint the IC black for the stealthy look.

also, can you include removal. did you dremel/cut it out, or is it actually fastened in with some screws or something? just to let others know whether it's a permanent thing or not. (i will assume for now its built into the bumper)

mixed feelings man, undecided yet. kinda missing something there.. just my $0.02 looks really good other then that. gj (cool)

What the heck? Do you have a black and silver emblem? The first pic looks like you have a black one....

I like the look, though I would probably paint it black, if that was possible...

Had black emblems and now I have silver. I understand that this is one of those like it or dislike it type of things. You can reverse it if you purchase the black mesh for the bumper. It is removable, however, you need to cut the base of it off and reinstall it so that your lower shields still have a place to mount to. I can imagine that this isnt a very expensive part. Plus it was quick, took all of 35 minutes to complete. Removal, modification and reinstall! Thanks for the comments even if you dont like it!

Ehh...i dont really like it open like that. Maybe a smaller screen painted black?

That's just me...if i ever got a front mount i'd probably give it a light coating of black to keep it low-key.

Well I did a little photoshop action on the IC and actually like this better...now people really might hate it! LOL not that I totally care. I left the endtanks polished and just did the core and silicone couplers. I think it looks hot. With my future plans for wheels(black w/polished lips) this might complete the look I am going for. Maybe I will disassemble and do a little spraying tomorrow night! As always opinions are welcome. Thanks for looking!

leave it non black, i think its looks good without the grill, but without the intercooler there the grill removal would look stupid

wow, i am definitely going to do this when i get my FMIC :) loving it man :D

get a bigger core, that will take up the entire space, then you wont have a problem of it looking a bit off which i think it does...

but hey if you like it, roll with it.. i cant say anything i dont have a fmic at all, so dont listen to me.

don't spray paint it. it hurts the thermal efficiency. you're just trapping in heat.

spend some money and get it anodized.
