removal of front wipers?

How do you do this? I took off the nut and thought that the wiper would lift right off. No way. Any ideas???

JUst need to wiggle it around. They will come of. its on a spline drive with a tight fit.

Whatever you do, don't try to pry it off with anything leveraged against the windshield. Cracked one on an old car once.

Funny, I just removed mine a couple days ago and let me tell you, what a pain that was. Like you said, after removing the nut, the damn wipers wouldn't bulge at all.

I didn't want to put too much stress on the posts, so i ended up using a battery terminal lifter. It basically rests on the bolt and has a couple jaws grabbing underneath the arm. First wiper arm came right out, second one had me literally bend the lifter lever arm in half. After a few more struggles it finally broke free, but there definitely are bruises from the fight on the wiper.

?? I just did it to mine.. its a J hook.. there's a plastic tab, depress it and slide it off... I thought it was going to be more complicated but it couldnt be more simple.

yes, that is how you take the wiper blade off, not the wiper arm.
