remote turn on

Hola-

Got a question for anyone who has installed a amp and sub into the 6 w/ bose system.

I had a good system that I no longer use sitting in my old car. I pulled out the wiring today for the power and ground, and I will be using left over remote turn on wire and RCA cables.

I have been reading over the original post that Koenig posted up on how to wire a sub to a stock radio. But I just cant seem to find my answer.

My question is this- I don't currently have the Bose factory sub inside of my car hooked up and running. The connector that would attach to the sub is just dangling there. Can I still connect my fuse loop to the factory Bose remote turn on wire and then onto my amp? (Blue w/ Red Strip)I guess the same would apply with connecting my Positive and Negative speaker wire to my RCA connector that I made.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anyone? Where do you pick up the signal for the Bose system? Post amplifier under the passenger seat or pre? If I should pick it up before the amp, should I just go ahead and tap into the wires in the back of the factory head unit?

No one? Anyone? I really need help with this. I am thinking I could actually tap into the cigarette lighter for my remote turn on since that is only "on" when the car is on ACC, or running. I just have to figure out what to do about the audio now.

Well- I think I have figured it out. I went ahead and wired my remote turn on to the cigarette lighter in the arm rest. I am going to go ahead and just try to wire up the homemade RCA connector to the subwoofer plugs in the back of my car, if that doesnt work I will try tapping into the rear speakers using a LOC.

I have read that there is no need for a LOC, but if hooking up the wires in the rear of my car doesnt work I wont have any other option.

---So I think I answered my own question in the end. Also did some more homework so I guess that helped.---

Here we go, Trial and Error :)

I read that post a number of times. I just wasnt sure if those cables would work if I did not have the factory sub in my car any longer. Sure enough it works!
