Remote switch for neons

I feel like I posted this before the server went down but I believe they had to restore to a time before my post so that is where it went. Or I am blind.

I am trying to figure out if there is a device, there has to be, that will allow me to hook up my distribution block for my neons to an accessory wire and to a constant 12v power supply.

I know they don't take much power but I have all my carpet up in my car right now and I don't feel like rewiring if they don't get enough power from just the accessory.

as an example I want to have my neons come on when the car door opens. (great idea whoever chucked that into one of the posts on here)

I don't want that connection to power my neons, rather, I want it to tell them to come on and I will have them powered from my distribution block in the rear.

It is exactly the same thing as an amp setup. HU remote sends the signal to open the power connection to the amp.

I want to be able to set up a similar connection to my HU so that either way if a singnal is sent the neons power up. I want both to run through a kill switch that will close all connections. I already have a music interface as a single point to run this setup byt the way.

What is the name of the device that I am looking for? Or is there one?

Well, the music interface has a 6A MAX fuse on it and I can't even find a small relay that is less than 10 so I am thinking the power from the deck remote and the dome light are going to be sufficient for this setup.

So it's dome to kill switch, deck to kill switch, kill switch to interface.

IF anybody happens upon this thread I found this explination to be perfect.

You might also want to look into adding in some diodes there somewhere so you don't get current going where you dont want it.

didn't know that term either but now that i read about it I guess I do need that so my stereo doesn't turn on my dome light. I hate adding tasks. Neons weren't even a task in the first place.
