Remote Start, Cargo Tray, and Door Sill Trim Plates, worth the cost?

Correct me if I am mistaken, but the remote start is never a factory option, but rather dealer installed? In your opinion, is it worth the $550? Also, what about the $75 cargo tray and the $125 door sill trim plates? Do the trim plates make it look snazzy or more tacky?

i did buy the cargo tray and i like it. kinda pricey but its good quality. and i want the remote start at well but hard to part with that kind of coin

I took the cargo tray out of our mazda 3 before we traded it and fits pretty darn well

I always get the cargo tray. Keeps the back easy to clean especially if you're hauling supplies or dogs back there.

What about the door trim plates? Are they worth the cost?

I ordered the door trim plates when I bought the car - I would not buy them again - the front are fairly long, but not long enough for me - the rears are a JOKE - very very short and useless. You may as well buy aftermarket to my opinion.

Remote start is being installed at dealer on Monday - it is not the Mazda one - bought through dealer so they can deal with it if something gets screwed up. 400.00 installed - I have to have this because of winter weather and car sits outside.

I got the aftermarket sill plates. They put gas make sure you read reviews. Mine are baking in the driveway I'm not putting them in until they don't reek

I got aftermarket sill plates on AliExpress. $15.00 and worth that. I like the look of the sill plates. The dealer version is too expensive. I installed the remote start myself (bought on ebay) and saved a bit instead of getting it installed by the dealer. The rear mat is worth it, as it makes cleaning the dirt from the back so easy.

I put in the cargo tray and cargo cover, whch covers the back of the seats and trunk - probably a bit of overkill but the back seats were the only area with carpet. I have a dog and would spend a lot of time cleaning the trunk in other vehicles. The cover and tray make it so simple and no worries about whatever goes in the trunk - whether the seats are up or down.

The cargo tray is made of a thick rubber with grooves in it to channel liquids. It also extends into the little cubby holes on each side of the trunk, so if anything spills it collects in there. The edges are raised as well, so everything gets kept on the tray:

For $75 it's one of the better bang for your buck accessories they sell. It's very thick rubber and is quality made.

I like how the protection extends into the cubby holes with the OEM mat. The Weathertech mat I have doesn't do that.

I didn't know it worked well with liquid. The oem one seems to just be a nice place for particles of whatever to catch and deposit.
