Some more news - sent by his wife

"Joe had a great birthday. We went home last Saturday for the weekend. It was a fast weekend. Joe checked out his garden and just relaxed all day. Sunday we went up to his folks house where we had birthday cake. Both his sisters were there with their kids, and their kids kids...lol He had a great visit with his folks also. Yesterday I brought a cake to the rehab center and Joseph and I did a little decorating while Joe was at a therapy class. SO, even though we were at the hospital we had much to be thankful for in making this a good birthday for him. He walks without use of the walking stick unless he's going to a therapy class when the instructors make him at least carry it with him. His occupational therapist told us, last night, that his wheelchair should be in by today. She said PT told her to fit him for one and order it then she looked at us and said "you can refuse it". Joe said he is going to tell PT today he does not want it as we both know, once he gets home it will only collect dust in a closet. I predict he'll not only be back at work by the end of the year, but also back on his bike by then or sooner!"

There you go folks, just great news.

HAPPY BELATED, BROTHER!
When I first came to this board over 3 years ago, he was one of the first to help me -- and even guided me to my first purchase for the car, an Injen. :) Ah, the golden days.

I hope to see you back soon, Joe.

Another update - This is even better!

Taken from his Harley Owner's Groupe Website :

"Joe is home! He was discharged from TIRR last Friday. He will return to TIRR for outpatient therapy. His wife wanted to say many thanks to all who gave of their time in prayer for him. Joe heard and felt them all."

I'm sure he'll been seen around here from time to time.

Thanks to all for your great support.
