Remember Sir Nuke?

Update, from June 21st

"Joe's speech and movement continues to improve on a daily basis. The doctors are saying that he is well above expectations regarding his rate of recovery. He has been walking around quite a bit lately and is now in therapy for about 8 hours a day. On Sunday, Joe got to celebrate Father's day outside of the rehab unit, tavelling to his parents home for a visit."

Still good news.

This just came in!!! Sent by his wife.

Joe is doing great. Two more therapy classes have been added to his schedule. He "works out" daily for about 8 hours a day. The doctors, therapists and even his neuropsychologist have all remarked on how fantastic Joe is doing. The neuropsyc. dr. was to do some testing on Joe but he remarked yesterday that he doubts he will be able to as Joe is progressing more and more daily and the tests are for when a person reaches a point where they stop progressing. Joe walks to all his physical therapy class with the use of only a walking stick now. It's downstairs from his floor and around a pretty long corner. He walks it well. His speech is improving daily. Last Saturday a group from our HOG chapter rode their bikes to visit Joe. I had him outside so he could hear them ride up. He was totally surprised and loved the visit. It did him a world of good to be out and talking. Discharge date is still set for July 8th. I'll keep you posted. Please pass on to the board a big thank you from me for their prayers and kind words. It has been our deep faith in God that has kept our "sanity" throughout all this. No need to question the "Big Man" now is there?? lol.. Seriously, prayer works wonders and so does a strong belief in our Heavenly Father and accepting all the challenges He puts in our daily lives.

God Bless to all,
~Michelle~

Hey SirNuke, we love you all, i mean...ermmm is not that we want to have sex with you...just in case

take care...you are going to get well soon.

Good news keep coming!

"Joe has a weekend pass and will be at home with his family. Joe will return to the rehab center on Sunday night."

Again, taken on his H.O.G.'s website.

Amazing. Simply amazing. This is progressing so fast! This kind of rehab usually takes months-years, doesnt it? Keep it up Joe, you're almost there buddy.

I wonder if it'd be possible for a group of Protege drivers to swing by. I think he loved his bike as much as his P5. Thoughts?

Another quick update

This was sent by Joe's wife :

"Joe will be home this weekend. I will be picking him up tomorrow morning (saturday the 25th) and we'll head home. We'll stay there until Sunday then later in the day we'll go and spend time with his folks in Houston. He's doing great! He says the "tingling" sensation in his right leg is starting to go away and "normal feeling" is returning. He walks really well with a walking stick in hand in case he loses his balance but has not done that so far. His speech only gets better everyday. I'm sure he'll be on the computer as he'll want to check his email. It's good therapy for his fingers also."

I'm quite sure he'll be back on the forum soon.

By the way
