well i just got home from zee SC and i must say you have amazing mountains and roads. well SC and NC. we stayed at the marriot in greensville/spartan in sc. we then went to the BMW perforamnce center and it was amazing. they have different programs there and i expierenced the 6 program. basically they have a program for almost every series bmw available and when you buy a bmw you have the option of picking up the car at the performance center and take a tour of a production line and then the series driving expierence.

anyways so they had three activites ill list them in the order my father and i did them. well we first were lead to a caravan of cars, one m3, one 5 series, one 7 series, and one x5 with a 4.8l v-8 i think it was? well we went out into the center track and had a path to go on with the cars. some solomn (sp?) style. so in conclusion the cars that most impressed me where the 7 series and the x5, the m3 is a given though. well for a big sedan the 7 series is fast, nimble, and has some body roll but not much. the x5 was ******* fast for an suv and could handle well around the coarse. the m3 is well amazing, smg is the best thing ever. the 5 series is amazing as well.

then we had an autocross circuit strictly with the 6 series which was good too....i got the back end to slide all over the place, and the car handles amazing let me tell you. and it is no slouch off the line as well.

after that bmw has a skid pad which they can wet. so we practiced oversteering and understeering. it was mainly driving control for certain situations and the like.

i can go on and on....but am giving the short version

well after lunch we drove to asheville and spent the night at grove park inn. we all caravanned in 6 series car by couples basically. imagine a caravan of 12 6 series bmws and 4 x5's. grove park inn is amazing let me tell you. the golf coarse there is amazing.

we then made our way back to the performance center the following day in a leasury(sp?) way. we stop and had lunch at la bastide then drove by the cliffs in asheville to see the view.

we ended up at the performance center where my dad and i spent another night in greensville. last night we went to the downtown for dinner and walked around a bit and today we flew back here.

overall its amazing and i recomend any of the bmw performance programs they offer. i hope to attend the m performance class int he future.

btw i loved NC and SC, very beautiful and friendly people. i hope to visit again sometime...

and ive made an important decision about the p5 after this weekend as well...

what is the important decision you made about the p5?

well after handeling such amazing machines ive decided to stop modding the p5. ive thought about it and am going to save money and possibly, depending on how much money i have saved from here to a year and a 1/2 and how much i can get for my p5+parts, i will be entering the european car market. i want to buy my dads 98 m3 convertible. after this weekend i realize what a true sports car is and well my p5 will never be what i want in a car i guess. lol its a shame ive been spoiled with this realization. my dad has kept his m3 because he feels it will one day become a collectors car. and after this weekend he appreciated his 6 series more and well i love it tons after driving it on your windy roads and on the bmw track. sorry for the delayed responce im handeling many thihngs at once right now haha.
