recon and headlights

From what I understand, headlights that say DOT/SAE approved are legal, but if they are clear corner they are not legal. I was wondering if they're illegal even though they are DOT approved.

They are legal, as long as you have an amber bulb

We have the amber lights on our bumper and the 03' models have amber signals on the fender as well.

hmm since were on the subject of recon...

A little birdie told me that if you fail recon they can put a "stopper" on your car?

Anyone know if this is true? cuz if so i need to cancle my appointment... all i need a stopper and i can't register my car... that would suck

I to was thinking about getting recon...But I don't understand...Technically they can give you a ticket for even driving it down there...right? haha


P.s. I need to get a inspection or whatever from a Geico "shop" to get collision coverage on the car...Would they require I have recon and all?

If you fail, you have 30 days to make it right. If you get pulled over within those 30 days, at least you can tell the officer you are making an attempt to get it and show him your papers.

I hate to be jacking this thread, but I don't see the need to start a new one since it is sort of related to recon. haa

I ordered collision coverage from Geico, and they told me I'd need to go to a certified shop or whatever beforehand. Why? What do they need to see? Would I not get the coverage if I don't have a recon? The car is dropped almost 2" and it has an exhaust.
