Hey everyone, so im going to buy some requirements for my car to pass inspection, and i know i need 10w-30 motor oil. But im not sure if i should get full synthetic, or a non synthetic. i know the difference, but i want the best oil i can find that will give her that "umph", you know? I heard different engine oil's can give alittle more power, but im fully aware of if this is true. And also i would like to know whats a good brand of transmission oil, as im a bit ignorant in that part. mine is an automatic w/ overdrive( im guessing that is the manual option it has). And one last thing, can anybody find a diagram of how to take all the door panels off? The two speakers in the back are not working and i want to change them, or see whats wrong with them. I basically want to get all 4 door speakers changed out though.

engine oil brand will not affect your horsepower. The same link I posted for your brakes will have all the diagrams you need for the panels and the fluid specifications for ATF; pretty sure its Dexron-III.

Oh ok, Thank you i will look at it. And one other thing, i was sitting in the car the other day, and i had the key set to where only the radio was on, and next thing im hearing clicking coming right from the transmission. it would click, wait a sec or two, the clicked again. Is that the neutral switch, or the clutch that would do that?

I don't think that's the transmission if only the radio is on. It's probably a relay somewhere. Unless something is wrong with the way the car drives, I wouldn't worry. Automatic cars don't have a clutch.

I've attached the PDF installation instructions for the P5 HU and speakers. Hope that helps you out, OP :)

A good high mileage oil like Valvoline Maxlife suits these engines just fine. High dollar synthetics can exasperate leaks and consumption in older engines. For ATF, again I have had very good luck with Valvoline Maxlife. Just make sure you get the right type for your trans, it should say on the dipstick.

The hardest part of removing the rear door panels is removing the handle. Basically, you just have to pull really hard.

Thanks. Yeah i went with Mobil1. Now hopefully i can get everything put into the car tomorrow, and then it should be good for being inspected.

Thanks alot, i suprisingly got one of the rear speakers working without taking it off, all i did was move the tube of wires in the doors crevice around a bit and it started to work, it tried it on the other side, but it didnt work at all.
