Recommendations for All Season Tires on the MazdaSpeed3

I have been doing a fair bit of searching online for info related to putting different tires on the MazdaSpeed3. Unfortunately, I haven't found much (I assume because no one has owned one very long).

I am looking to accomplish 2 goals with new tires:

1) Get a bit more of a comfortable ride (the impact from potholes, bumps, etc. on the stock ultra high performance tire is too much for me -- I am willing to sacrifice performance for comfort).

2) I need an all season tire for the winter (mild snow where I drive) as the stock tire is summer only.

Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated...

I'm really liking the P225/40 Pirelli PZero Nero M+S tires on my "normal" Mazda3s. I've used them in a little bit of snow, and they do OK, but they're great in wet weather, and have good tread life. If you're looking for ultimate grip, get something with a softer rubber compound, but for me, commuting insane miles, I needed something to use as a Summer tire that would last, offer decent dry grip, good wet grip, and be able to handle the occasional Michigan Spring and Fall snow. I still use a dedicated Winter tire for the real Winter months.

Those are what I use for my MS3, and I love them. ^_^v They're awesome in the wet conditions, and snow/ ice didn't give me any problems during the winter months. Performance in the dry is also excellent, and I have yet to hear any squealing noises from them even at very high cornering speeds.

Sonar concurs. Good tire with decent snow grip and excellent wear. They are also quiet.

I also agree. I had a set of those on my supercharged 2001 Focus ZX3. I was disappointed in them, but only because I was expecting better snow performance (it was before I started using dedicated winter tires). However, keeping in mind that they're only designed for light snow (like the Pirellis I use on my 3), they were a great all-season tire.
