you should pull yuor side moldings off looks even cleaner, did mine looks better i have an 04 m3 hatch sunlight silver.

Im not 100% sold on the side moulding removal... I guess I will have to see it in person to be able to decide....

nice... like the clean sub install and the recaro cell cradle... that cracked me up..

yeah you def need to get rod of the mouldings.
i have the same color in a sedan and i was very wary of taking the mouldings off specially cause i had already had the car under the sun for over a year. I took them off, waxed it and it looks a million times better.
good work on the car by the way.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Yea I like to keep it clean n simple Im not into going overboard with my mods. I did that back in the day with a 99 Si and got it out of my system....
I got the CF mirror covers on Ebay. Havent seen them since I got mine....

Nice, I have my amp under the pass seat as well. I had to have it where the rca jacks and wires are not facin backwards, my friends are too stupid to understand their foot is mightier than the wires.... I also really like the dead pedal...where did you get it? Also with you simota do you get a whistling sound at ~4k rpms? Not the normal intake sound but almost a whine? Did yours come with a manifold for the maf to sit on?? Mines on metal, and Im thinkin thats the problem... Nice car and nice choice in color. (cheers)

Oh and if you do take off the mouldings, heat it up, I took mine off and did not have to use any goo gone or adhesive remover to get the glue off at all. I did it in about 75 degree weather, face the side you want to do first to the sun and wait a few mins, pull up on a end, and wiggle it side to side as you pull away from the door. took me a whole 10 mins to pull all the mouldings off.

Thanks for the compliments guys..... I got the deadpedal from a guy called Sok07 he makes them and sells them there...He also puts them up on Ebay every once and a while....
No whistling with my Simota intake yet I would assume something like that is possable as youve got a huge intake that can whistle due to the amount of air coming in.....

hmm weird. Im going to take it out and check everything, nothing seems loose, and as for the gasket for the maf and intake, I found its not needed because the maf has a oring on it that seals it, or so it would seem. I had a cai on my p5 that whistled a bit too but it was more distinct not like a low squeal sound, almost sounds like a belt or somthing, only happens when I shift. my p5 had so many noises from the engine, and this one has none, and I got used to listening for them, so now any little noise is going to freak me out!!!

I HATE YOU! It took be about 8 hours, not including re-waxing :(

I still need to update my sig pic but I'm on stock wheels for the winter so I don't want to take a pic now :P

8 hours? good god I would have given up and had one side with half the moulding on and the other still molded. Even on my p5 it took less than an hour.... I just broke my thumbnails trying to scrap that gooey s*** off, I tried a plastic wedge thing, but that ended up leaving little scratches so I wouldnt recommend that method...you could only see them at night in the right light at the right angle, but yeah, I knew it was there and it drove me up the damn wall. On the mz3 I pulled them off in the wal mart parking lot while waiting for my brother to pick some things up haha. quick car was and allllll done.

PS happy new year!

and I forgot to mention that I was bleeding profusely from the blisters I got while doing it. I still think it was worth it. I love how the Mz3's look after the side moldings are off though because the door is just flat and plain without it. On the P5s there's still the crease in the door that's right there so it doesn't look all that different.
