I was tired of running around all over town to find a rear wiper for the CX9, so I went online to https://www.amazon.com (commissions earned) and bought a Valeo R-14H 14" complete wiper blade. It fits perfectly. I wasted time and gas looking for this wiper. Amazon also has the aerodynamic front wipers from Valeo. I bought Anco Contours C26UB for the drivers side and Anco Contours C17UB for the passenger side. They fit without adapters. Go to www.valeowipersusa.com and look for their online catalog.
Amazon sells the Trico 14-A blade assemblies - complete with arm, rubber blade....$11.43 including free shipping. 30 second swap out. It looks just like the OEM....maybe they are made by Trico for Mazda...?
Current promotion from Trico - buy 2, get $5 back....it ends on 12/31/2010.
I replaced with a 14" Anco that the shop's system said was the right match. It fit and looks good. Pretty much looks just like the OEM. Only problem is that it's smaller than the OEM. Maybe by 2".
Speaking of the rear wiper... I have a question about the rear wiper assembly pin that sticks out of the rear window. On 2010 GT there no sealing around. My other cars with rear wipers always had a kind of rubber O-ring that would protect the driving mechanizm from water penetrating into it.
Is this the way all Cx-9's are build or perhaps mine is just missing something?
I wouldn't worry about it. It's either got a rubber ring on the other side, or it is adhesively sealed on the other side.
Also, I learned a little trick for car washes... just snap off the plastic garnish near the post and then you can have the rear wiper stand up right while washing the glass. Pretty nifty.
