yep, my corksport exhaust sits right under the valance. aside from a blackened bumper, it also starting to melt the paint off of the underside of the lip. you cant see it unless you stick your head under the bumper. guess i need to stop putting off getting kartboy hangers. ill post pics later. unless amys cameraphone pics turned out?

the reason it's melting is b.c the exhaust tip is pretty much totally under the lip. josh's car did the same thing, he had to end up cutting part of his lip off b.c it melted to the muffler. anyways here are some pics .

shows how far under the lip the muffler is

and this is the result

and no these aren't from a camera phone lol, I had the other camera to remember..

Ouch- you need to drop that muffler a bit and preferably extend the tip out at least so it is even with the edge. You should have seen that coming when you put it on :).
Joe

Yeah I'd say there is a problem with it touching the bumper. You know the tip is usually hot right? ;)

well here is the thing .he ran it for a while without the downpipe section on and the tip was farther out. it was still a little short but not that bad. when he put the downpipe/cat delete section on it pulled the muffler towards the front of the car more. I have never seen a corksport exhaust fit like this before before. The ones I have seen fit perfect, its almost like something is wrong with this one and I cant put my finger on what it is... It was orgionally for a p5 but they sent him the wrong axle back section, that was for the MSP, so he put it on the MSPwhen he traded . Right now it seems like he has the p5 axle back b.c of how short it is.. I dont know but it cant be right.

I know, when i change my oil this weekend, i need to bend the muffler hangers up a few inches. That will drop it down a bit. as far as the damage, like i said, you cant see it unless you stick your head under there so.....
maybe ill send that pic to corksport to see what they think. how was the meet amy? sorry i couldnt go, i had left the house and went straight there, and was there till you called. i couldnt even see.

i didnt see you guys when i came home. oops that was at 6am.

haha that would be why ..the cops came at 4:30 and told us to go to bed haha

Yes, bend the hangers to lower the tip. Also, a big NO to the kartboy hangers. They will bring the exhaust up and that is not what you want.

shane, the tails look really good (2thumbs)

I'm probably getting that exhaust too

which hangers are you guys bending?... I haven't tried yet but the hangers on the car don't look like something that you can "just bend" without a lot of heat and force.

Yeah mine sits perfect all I did was bend the rear hanger brackets attached to my car down like an inch and it sits perfectly.

well, damn, should I get something different? lol

nooo b.c it sounds sooo badass on N/A cars lol ..I wish it would sound that good on mine..not that it sounds bad but its a tad bit different

i cant believe how much under the lip that exhaust tip is, no wonder it melted, I just go tmy Vibrant exhaust on and it is almost completely flush, pokes out just a little, i have Kartboy hangers and I still have more clarance than that.

Same question. I just installed the CS exhaust (turbo back). Which hangers are you guys bending? Can anyone take a pic? How easy is it to "bend" them?

Overall I like the CS exhaust, increased my stock boost from ~6.6 psi to ~8.3 psi. It's a little loud for my liking. I might slap on the stock muffler/tip to see how that goes, but if I don't I want to, I'll need to adjust the tip so it doesn't touch my rear valence.

Thanks.
