Rear Passenger Door Won't Fully Close

2012 Mazda5, rear passenger sliding door won't fully close. It closes and latches in front, but the trailing edge of the door doesn't shut flush with the back of the body. I can bump the door with my body and it goes kinda flush, but no latching and I can pull it back outwards (but the front stays latched).

Any ideas? Thanks.

What you described matches what my '08 started experiencing for the first time last winter. It only happens when it gets below ~40; I think mechanism needs a thorough degreasing and regressing. Doesn't seem to hard to take apart (It's not cold enough yet so I'm not motivated to tackle it)... If you experience this year long, I think you need a new lock mechanism.
