Rear passenger caliper sticking

I recently replaced the brakes at all 4 corners of my '07 Mazdaspeed 6. When I removed the rotor/pads from the rear passenger side I noticed that they were significantly more worn than the rest of the brakes. I went ahead and greased everything up and installed the new brakes anyway.

It still sticks. First things I can come up with is parking brake is out of adjustment or my brake fluid is contaminated and has mostly built up in that caliper.

Do you guys have any ideas?

Also, is there an adjustment for the parking brake at the rear calipers (I neglected to look, regretting that now) or is it all done at the adjustment point by the lever inside the car?

My plan is to take it apart tonight and look at it.

Any help is much appreciated! :D

Well, seems no one else had this issue. If you do, you need to buy a caliper retraction tool and spin your caliper pistons in so they clear the pads with about a 1/8th inch of clearance. All good after that.

I'm going to keep an eye on mine and adjust as needed. My front pads had about 50% of their life left but the rotors were grooved and lipped pretty bad (I'm hard on brakes).

The rear brakes were much more worn, especially the passenger side, as stated earlier. Hopefully this issue doesn't come back. If it does at least I'll know what to do to remedy it. It's very easy.

I just replaced all 4 of mine today with HPS pads. At 50k still a bit of life left so the rotors were in good shape.
I've always had issues with the rear pads sticking with the ebrake on especially after a rain. I could not see that they are adjustable.
Curious, I just used a pliars to rotate the rear calipers in until I could pop the new pads onto the rotor. Fit rather loosely. It sounds like there is a specific amount of clearance (1/8 inch) you are supposed to aim for? Makes me think perhaps I turned the rotors in too much. Will it self-adjust? Not in the mood to redo my work so much.
