Got rear ended over the weekend in my 4 month old brand new GT 5 Pearl white - we hit the guy in front of us as well. Anyways the rear bumper has popped off about 4 screws/bolts and the bumper is unseated where it meets the top body, we've got the guys license plate engraved into our bumper and paint is all scratched, the front bumper black grille is all broken into pieces and our plate is totally bent like the guys bumper we hit -insurance has covered everything and the guy who hit me is getting charged - going into the shop to get it fixed and rental for the next few days....woohoo...time to try for a hummer...lol anyways everyone was safe no injuries. he probably hit us at 40km/hr + - cops said it had to be since the guys bumper fell off - honda odyssey 99, and i hit an intrepid.

Rear-Ended

Sorry to hear of your mishap.....Thanks goodnedd no one was hurt.
Could it be due to the 'bad' weather you've been having in Toronto recently that caused the guy to run into you....Most folks forget how to drive in Winter......

glad to hear you're safe and that insurance covers everything, its really funny to see how insurance companies price (http://www.oneshopinsurance.com)
I was amazed with the premiums I was quoted on. The entire quote was
automated, simple questions and straight forward answers, too bad statefarm still quotes me way too high!

Bah, still got nothing on me. In a month & a half span between Nov & mid Dec I got rear ended three times. First time I got hit by a lady in a Corolla, who apparently didnt understand what a red stop light meant luckily minor and barely noticeable damage. Second was on the interstate, stuck in stop and go traffic for at least five miles, some jerk in a old Toyota p/u decided that traffic would part for him and decides to gun it, apparently I should have moved to the shoulder in order to let him pass me and because I didnt he caused over $1,500 in damages [bumper crushed & scratches on the liftgate](hes liable so done through my insurance). The third time was about 2-3 weeks after I got the 5 back from repairs, again stop & go traffic on the interstate, some lady driving a Navigator apparently cant make up her mind what lane she wanted to be in rear ends a corolla who in turn rear ends me luckily again no noticeable damage.

Prior to these I had never been in any sort of accident before.

Moral of the story for me, Jersey drivers are the worst drivers in the U.S. and start taking the Titan pickup for my commute to work..

Is the 5 cursed? (ughdance)

Yes, we are cursed.
But in your case, I think maybe it's time you consider sticking some riduclously large size spike onto your rear bumber pointing backwards.
Maybe they will pay attention by then.
