rear brake upgrade

i wanted to know if there are any other mazda model rear brakes that fit bolt-on on the protege/MSP ?? and what minimum wheel size they need? i need to know for calipers, rotors and pads....

i currently have a protege ES and don't want to spend the money to get MSP rear brakes. so any other options would be helpful!

Also, do MSP have 98-02 626 v6 brakes in the rear also, or just the front? if not, what model do they come from?

(keep in mind that i plan to track the car next summer, and i am going to upgrade the front brakes for bigger ones also)

nope.

just upgrade the fronts and be done. the protege has too much rear bias anyway.

The MSP shares spindles with the 98-02 626. That means the calipers, rotors, hubs, wheel bearings, and lugs are all the same.

ok, so basically, the only rear upgrade for me is to buy msp/626 brakes??

so it's not really worth it. my 2 rear calipers are seized, so i figured since i'm buying new ones, i should upgrade. so i'll just buy protege calipers and buy good rotors/pads.

thanks guys
