I've placed EPB into maintenance mode with left caliper off the car. Which caused the piston to be pushed out (EPB motor ran for long time since there it was off the car). Ended up buying new aftermarket caliper and installing it. Now EPB shows error (the motor runs and engages and disengages on the first use after existing maintenance mode but then car disables the left side until reset).
I've seen some posts about it but have not found any solutions. I've tried many OBD scanners including full version of FORScan, and independent shop but none could do EPB reset/learn procedure as it doesn't have this capability (beyond the maintenance mode activated by switch). I assume the issue is that EPB computer lost actuator position due to excessive run but now the question is - how do I fix it?
