Rattling interior: me or the mount?

I've had an SU motor mount for at least 5k miles and recently it's been making my interior rattle alot. When I take off from a standstill it will make a rattling sound unless I give it a generous amount of gas.

Do I just need to give it more gas (harder on the clutch) or is this expected?

Especially now that I'm using A/C I've noticed I have to give it alot more gas to prevent this vibration/rattling.

The motor mount is definitely going to cause more interior vibrations that normal.

You could always try giving more gas. The engine has less give, it's being kept in place so it will be under additional load. Applying slightly more throttle should cure it to a minor degree.
