Rattling from gauge cluster!

I've got a '02 P5 and whenever it gets cold I get this really annoying rattling from the gauge cluster. I'm pretty sure its the clear plastic shield because if I press on it while I'm driving the rattling magicaly goes away. Anybody have this problem and ideas of how to fix it?

i have the same problem, but am too lazy to take it apart and look at it

Look in the How-to section. Find the one on how to kill the door chime, and it explains how to remove the gauge cluster. While your at it, just do the door chime kill. It allows you to have the key in the ignition, radio on, door open, without hearing "ding, ding, ding, ding".
