Rattles....

Well, I spent some time yesterday getting rid of some of the many rattles in my car. One of them was the passenger side door panel. Specifically the map pocket. The top edges were rattling. I put a few pieces of double sided tape on that and bolted the pocket back in. The other was the heater controls. The screws mounting the controls to the center panel were loose. Tightened them down and voila! It stopped rattling.

The car stil has a horrible rattle in the front upper part of the dash, but I can't pinpoint it. I think it might be the cowl rattling. Anybody else have horrid rattles?

oh yeah.. ive had some massive ones, still have more to fix.. i fixed 2 of em tonight, one, the break light cover was bouncing with my subs, and two, so was the control unit for my moonroof. still have to fix 1-2 minor others inside and the massive one on my spoiler.

my whole car rattles. i did fix a couple of them this past weekend when i lined my whole interior with 2-3 layers of carpet padding, so not too many inside, but outside still rattles like hell. that and one persistent one up inside the dash on the driver side that i still cannot find. my next investment - dynamat.

Matt, there is one stupid little bracket that screws into the A/C heater box. It was loose on mine and was making one of the bad rattles. Take the glovebox out and on the right side there is a little tab that as one screw. That might be it.

I have one in the dash, sounds like it's behind the radio. It's not the radio like everyone suggests. It only vibrates when accelerating hard and past like 3000 rpm

I have a rattle coming from the driver side door
like, right from the seatbelt or that general area
it is driving me nuts
music is the only cure for it!!!!

i still have yhet to fix my right rear rattle coming from my rear strut..or something like that.
