I did some searching cause I thought I've seen a post on this. I guess someone had Changes or something slide under the sub? Well mine is rattling now with any bass. Am I gonna have to take the damn seat out and all that jazz to get whatever is rattling out?

Whenever I look at it, I see plastic clips in all four corners but I've never tried to take it out. I'd assume that it has plastic clip covers and then actual bolts underneath to hold it down but I've never actually tried so I'm waiting on somebody who knows too.

I had the same problem take the seat out and the the sub also..turns out I had a paper clip flopping around in there for a while and was driving me crazy..like someone said earlier..the bass port is a perfect receptical for collecting bs to cause you a pain in the ass thanks mazda

my passenger dropped a TON of change in/around the passenger seat as she tried to get my change holder for paying tolls. in trying to isolate this rattle, i found like $5 hiding under there.
i suspect the bass port is the problem. i've tried taking hard right turns and using magnets to get the remaining $132,040 out of that bass port (sad effort, i know).
do i have to take the seat out to get at the bass port? is there another way? can i access it by removing the subwoofer cover on the top of the amp/sub?

Your amp is under the driver's seat, sub is under the passenger's.
That's a pretty funny story though, I would say (after doing this once) take out the seat if you have a good feeling you aren't going to break anything and then proceed to open up the sub or take it out to shake it out. I doubt you'll break anything, the seats are pretty sturdy. I just had to worry about the wiring for the heated seat in my car.

I should remove my seats to vacuum, my girl friend (not girlfriend...yet) has a golden retriever and when she gets into my car she leaves fur everywhere and it's mainly under my passenger seat. :/

Well I finally had enough and took apart the car yesterday. Unbolted the seat to find the sub enclosure. There is a little cover on top with 4 screws that once taken off reveals the top of the sub. No coins or anything there. Figured out the coins were INSIDE the enclosure. 2 bolts and 2 nuts removed and the enclosure come off the floor. There is a bundle of wires that is attached at several spots that with the help of pliers you can release and take the Sub all the way out of the car. A little jimmy and a jangle and I was 6 cents richer! There is a port on the box that the coins eventually came out of(and where the must have went in). Plug it back in a test to make sure rattle was gone. NOPE! More shaking and still nothing came out so I unbolted the speaker itself and took it out of the box to find a nickel was pinned down inside. Put it all back together blah blah, rattle is gone. Not hard, but a pita. I guess I did make 11 cents.
