Range of OEM Remote Starter?

Are OEM Remote Start owners happy with the range they are getting?
Anybody in a larger apartment building where you may be parked on the other side of the building, getting through to your car and starting it?

As a test when I first installed mine, I went to the second floor of my house, then to a back room on the opposite side of the house, then pointed the remote out through a solid wall in the opposite direction of the driveway, and it still started.

I thought I would bump this one instead addding a new thread.
I'm in the market for a new CX5 and I may add the remote start. I don't want to spend the bucks if it doesn't work here at work.
The parking lot is about 250 feet away. No obstuctions, just a lawn. Has anyone tested the 300 range that is advertised?

Had mine a few months now....park in a parking lot outside approx 200 feet from my apartment....and a parking lot approx 1000 feet from my building at work....never had an issue with the remote start not working. I don't use it often, mind you....only when it's severely cold. Never had an issue with the range though.
