Contacted these guys and received a quick and courteous reply. Anyone have a good pic of the stock midpipe? If not, I will take one this weekend.
They are based in Atlanta and supposedly make some of the best cats around so I'll happily volunteer my car as a test subject.
Meanwhile, let's start a petition to show him the huge Proteg market they can tap.
(If this violates some board rule, let me know.)

We built a system for the Mazdaspeed model and the configuration of that converter made it relatively expensive. That combined with the fact that so few Mazdaspeed models were produced and that there seemed to be relatively little interest, convinced us to not put that particular model into production. The converter for the standard Protg will probably be an entirely different configuration and the market is undoubtedly larger. We'll build just about anything there's a market for, so if there really is any significant demand, getting a direct fit converter built won't be a problem. For openers, it would be really helpful if you could send us a digital photo of the stock converter. Once we see that, we can determine whether it makes sense to proceed.
I appreciate you contacting us.
Best regards,
Dave Emanuel
