no i didnt cause i still put the grill on, only on those get together nights....dont want the fins to get dented by suicidal bugs.

I'm not going to get a FMIC unless I can find one that is stealthy like that. APS is the manufacturer & currently they only make them for the WRX & EVO, but I'm trying to find out if there is any source for one for us.

He's not showing it off because he got black instead of silver. Most people had no idea he even had a FMIC. Like I said, it's nothing against you, I'm just tired of people wanting a FMIC more for the bling appeal than the performance.

hey DiscreetSpeed, I also have the iON FMIC, just wonder what did you do when you took your OEM IC away? coz' the IC and the radiator is basically one whole unit to hold everything together. did you change your radiator too or did you made a bracket to fill in the place so everything still holds?

I have tried putting the P5 radiator in and I am assuming it will fill in the gap, but apparently the shop guy told me the P5 radiator simply didn't fit (so not replaceable part for the MSP radiator + IC)...

now I don't know what to do, I want to ditch that stupid OEM IC since it is doing nothing but collecting dust...

I like the TXS-RFL. How easy was it to install? Did you use the Type H Supra adapter kit and does it work with the stock intercooler piping?

I am considering the TXS RBV 25 or RBV H34.

I ended up putting the stock IC back in place because things were banging around and causing noise. Then I busted a motor mount and now everything clangs and makes noise.

CANT TELL FROM THE PICS BUT DOES THE ION FMIC RUN BOTH HOT AND COLD PIPES OUT THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE ENGINE BAY??

wouldnt a black IC defeat the purpose of an IC? silver reflects heat while black absorbs it, right?

no.
hot goes to the passenger side,

Cold goes from drivers side up to the TB

well mine is off...i put the left side as your standing in front of the car and discreetly zip tied the right side of the fan to the front. its solid as if it were bolted. doesnt move at all.

its a sinch man, use the adapter that comes with the package..all you need it a (not sure what diameter) 1" hose in diam. and i used about 3" in lenght. couple of clamps and i was dont.
i found 2 washers did fine for me....but 5 washers was more of a aggressive pppsshhhtt.

haha its cool man, but yea guys paint them all the time here, so its nothing new.

The APS FMIC isn't painted though. I don't know how you could paint an intercooler without clogging it full of paint.

how would you clog it?
the lines would have to be broken to or really there is no way to clog them unless your an idiot.....it would still cool off.
