facebook has a simple layout, and it's very good at connecting friends.

myspace lets you make your page as hideous as you possibly can, and lets any pedophile with a spare few minutes to beat off to some pic you posted of your gf in a bathing suit.

not to say all of myspace is pedophiles, but there's a substantial user base that is.

either way, both do a good job of keeping up with friends.

Exactly my opinion. At least facebook only has sexual predators that are college alums.

And people can't see your profile unless they go to your school or are your friend, so it's much more controlled.

Plus, people can't have annoying 20MB profiles with terrible blinding colors, videos, music, tons of nasty pictures, etc.

ya, you don't have (completely) random people messaging you wanting to 'hang out'. i've seen 2 or 3 of those shows on dateline where they fake being a young boy or girl, and they actually talk guys into coming over to do it with em. and then the guys are arrested. ironically enough, it always originates online w/ myspace.
