Rally Armor owners - winter experiences?

Actually, that's not my STI (i wish it was!). It's my buddy's 08 STI just before he moved to Virginia. He has the RA UR flaps only on the front. He never got around to installing the rears, so he just never bothered. I am having a hard time denying the fact the UR's look sweet. Then again, I'll only use them for a few months then possibly take them off if they arn't a total PITA to add and remove every couple of months.

they stick out so much more on the sti then they do on the speed3. people say they think they look ugly but they dont nearly hang out as much. or they dont seem to anyways. i have some pics of my car n here somewhere. let me scope for them and ill post a pic or two.

before and after pics....some of the pics were taken on a cell phone so the quality sucks....but you can still see that they look pretty sweet. nothing unusually overwhelming. just....a little bit extra

Man...I do not like the looks of mud flaps at all. LOL, I may have to just suck it up though, the car looks pretty bad boo boo with the slush and ice.

i think they have a meanness to them. I'm kicking myself for not spending the money on the clear urethane bra to keep the rock chips down. the way the paint does NOT hold up I said 'eff it. First time Shame on Mazda. Second time shame on me.

I love my mud flaps all 4 seasons, they work awesome to keep the car cleaner and not get rock chips. They work great in the winter

Have you guys seen the Lancer UR flaps? I think the rear flaps on the lancer are perfect!!

Looks like I"m getting Basic's for me for x-mas from the wifey. I doubt she's ordered them yet, but I'll post up pics once I have them on

That's cool, i'll have to wait until you get them to see how they look. I was almost guaranteed on asking for a set of "UR" flaps for christmas, but I cancelled that idea again.

I noticed my gf's CX-7 could benefit from the factory flaps. I'm wondering how much it would cost if I could find them on here instead of on MazdaUSA.com. They're like $110 on that website. A little much still.

No offense and to each his own but those mud flaps look horrible on there. I will not allow my car to look like that. I would rather spend 1.25 at the car wash and hose it down once a day for the entire winter then put mud flaps on my car.

by the loks of your picture in your sig you dont even need flaps because you car floats. my next question is where'd you get the floating kit? lol.

I agree, in fact thats what I have been doing, this weekend one day was slightly above freezing so I washed my car in my driveway because I didnt even want to take it to a car wash.

We beat the hell out of them in the cold on our Subies w/ no problems.

Doesn't get much colder than northern reaches of Canada in winter.
