Radio question on a 2006 3 GT

Hi there, I just bought a 2006 Mazda 3. The car came without the stock radio and I would like to put one back in. The model I have is a GT and if I bought a radio from Ebay that is advertised with distance and average fuel consumption outside temerature etc... will this work? What additional things do I need to consider.
