radio paenl removing help

What is the best way to remove the radio dash trim out of this car. Before I end up scratching it more. I tried several methods posted here and this thing will not come off.

I tried how scosche recommends using a panel removal tool from the bottom no success ended up with a 1 inch scratch. I also tried entering near the vents no luck either.

I gave up for today since this really has pissed me off(cricket)

Don't give up, you have to pull VERY VERY hard, and kinda pull up but not too forceful to where you might break a clip.

Yeah, it does take a lot more force than it seems like it should... when i was taking mine off, it took like 20 minutes of gentle pulling until i got so pissed off I just yanked almost as hard as I could, then I heard a few pops of clips coming out.

Mine came right off. You don't have to pull hard you just have to pull in the right places. Look over the forums with pics and pull only near the snaps. Pull up and towards the display. Then pull out towards the back of the vehicle. GOOD LUCK!

Interesting because It took a lot of pull when I did it. I did do it at the bottom where the notch for that is.

Ok I got finally got it out dam I deserve what i get for rushing LOL. The first attemps made 1 large scratch. But that bottom service notch did the trick at first I tried a small flat head screw driver but bent.

Quick question on the Bose(aka Clarion) radio when I removed it there is the large white connector but there is also a smaller white one any idea what the smaller one is for?

Not sure. Been a while since I was back there. But I think that is the output for the upper display.

Pull from the bottom, with all ur fingers, it'll come off nice, hard part is the hazard switch to place on the new kit.

My offset screwdriver is kinda think. Should I be worried about something inside the bottom slot not pressed if the head doesn't go in deep enough?

Is it all in the pull? Are you all saying that I should pull as hard as I can? I'm worried about ripping up the small service port.

You need a flat head if you want to use a screwdriver.

Finally, I pulled really hard, now the bottom clips are loose. But I'm stuck on the top part. I'm using my hands to pull the whole thing up toward the ceiling without much progress. I cannot pull out toward the back of the car as it might break the damn thing. What tips do you have? Should I pry the sides, but how?

just pull up and gently until they all come off, everything is on with clips, but at the top they're two pieces of plastic that you have to watch out for at the very top, but just keep gently pulling.
