So I'm trying to find out what peoples opinions are on the aftermarket radio dash kits? Trying to find out what people think looks best, made best, and best pricing. I'm looking to go with a double din install. I also want to still be able to use my steering wheel controls. All help is appreciated.

So does the steering wheel adapter allow every function to still work properly?

You loose the functions of the mpg selector like any of the other kits. You set it on which piece you want and it stays there.

All of the volume and other functions work with the pioneer deck we installed

Take a look at our project car which shows the installed unit. We used a pioneer 3300bt.

I'm definitely going to do this mod after my 3 year warranty is up. I don't want to mess with electrical stuff before then haha.

The nice thing about the kit is you can unplug everything and install the stock deck if ever required for the local dealership.

Its when you hit info on the wheel button to change from the temp\current mpg\avg mpg\miles remaining option...appears on the little screen in the dash beside the speedometer

Weird, we don't have this in the model selling in hong kong. Can you take a picture of your steering wheel control as well?

What's the response like with this adapter? Does the headunit register the button presses quickly, or is there a bit of a lag? I tried a PAC adapter in our Mazda 3 several years ago, and it was very, very slow to respond (so bad that I decided I'd rather just keep the factory HU than deal with it).

responds like oem. However, in my wifes subaru i had a alpine and the axxess and it was slow and buggy, but i installed a pioneer and it works great and as fast as oem now, so head unit could be an issue as well
