DO NOT BUY. I am guessing it is $100 USD. That is over priced for a glorified E-bay intake. I have it and got it for 95 CAN dollars. It sounds nice, didnt notice any gains and it gets very hot.
I've got one, but I have a heat shield on the filter and a hose that connects it to the fender wheel well. Hence, CAI. I love mine, but minus the heatshield and hose, it just an ebay intake.

How much was the cold air extension and heat shield? Have you tried running with and without the hose? If so what differences have you noticed.. noise, tourqe and throttle response? I saw them somwhere before and just wondering if its worth it.
Nocar, do you have a pic of the extension kit installed? Also was the heatshield included with the kit or is that part of the ractive cai filter you mentioned?
Yeah, its the ractive with heat sheild and hose. It was quite easy to install. The only major thing you have to do is move the radiator overflow tank, and there are a few holes and places that it can be reconnected. Other than that its just screw, bolts and hoses. =)
I also bought a longer hose with mine (about a foot and a half in length) that you can add on to the fender well and have it open just beneth the car. Or wherever you like as it is flexible hose. I never connected it due to rain, snow, and water creeping up my intake from the ground.
Yes, it can. However, the ractive heat shield is designed to fit around a smaller filter and the K&N's and those similar from ebay are too big. But other companies do make heat sheilds that will fit.
