Racing Meets??

I'll go watch, but my Slotege5 won't be running. Problem is that they normally run on fridays and sometimes saturdays. I close both those nights and am stuck at work until 12-1am

Meets are always posted. We have had in the past Button Willow meets, Auto X meets, and Speedcircuit. Just keep on the lookout, something always comes up.

I will be attending the October 18 & 19th Button Willow event with NASA. Their website is www.nasaproracing.com , registration is $225 for that event, and you have to be a member ($35). I don't think there is a gate charge for that event (sometimes it's $10).

And the week after, if you haven't had enough, on 10/25-26, http://www.speedventures.net is hosting an event at a little track called Spring Mountain in Pahrump, NV, which is just right outside of Vegas. I'll be there on Sunday, the 26th. I've been with many event organizers and Speedventures is by far the best - lots of track time (2.5 hours/day), relatively cheap, instructors available, and, best of all, they offer timing.

Spring Mountain is a tight track similar to the Streets which gives advantages to light cars like the Protege. And there are no walls to hit when you do decide to go off-roading...

Fortunately I was able to stay on the big track at Willow Springs -- there were a few BMWs & Mustangs that didn't. Hehe.

That sounds like a good deal, but I don't think I can make it. :) Speedventures has been mentioned to me, and tracknutz, but I don't know if they have been organizing events lately.

I am going with NASA because there is already a big group of people going from Santa Barbara, and we have somebody racing in AI and Super Unlimited!
