All three of them are torn to s***! My whole engine moves all over! I was driving to the movies with my wife and the car started vibrating! So i brought it home and parked it! Its so screwed up! Id watch the stock motor mounts if I were you. Just take a look and make sure there not cut or torn up, etc...

Not that this Forum needs another post on this subject ...

Today I replaced my cat with a test/race pipe that deleted the cat. Although I read all the posts about this subject, I was pessimistic about all the claimed performance gains ... But I was wrong. I wont go as far as to place a HP number, or say that my car is any quicker, but I will say that it pulls a bit harder in the midrange ... And that I LiKE!

I got the 2.5" pipe (will not name vendor) over a 3" because the rest of my car is all 2.5", and I have no visions of replacing my downpipe or cat-back just yet. I like having it silent, and in a few months, there will be an exhaust cutout anyway.

To those of you attempting this install:
The bolts attaching the Cat to the downpipe are a pain in the @ss. I was under there with a 1/2 breaker bar and couldnt get those suckers loose.

My solution: Well, I was out of PB Blaster, so I drove to Walmart and bought some. After I got home, I sprayed the hot bolts with some good squirts (Maybe this is bad, but too late now). It steams like hell, but 5 minutes later, i went under there with an 8" box-wrench, and those things came right off. Whatever it was, the heat and the PB blaster worked wonders. After giving a few turns on the bolts, I let the cat cool for about 30 mintes, and then took it out.

Another Look out - The rear gasket. If you dont get it on just right, it sounds like any beater that you can think of. Take extra time to make sure its on straight.

This was my first mod, and it really paid off. My intake should be here sometime next week, and it cant come soon enough.

I have street unit TestPipe..i did not feel anything on the butt dyno..the car does idle louder when initially started.

ya my shop told me the trick to loosen the bolts is heating them up to relax the metal...

im not sure about the HP # gain but like you said, i deffinetly feel the pull when i het 3rd, i love it!,

I MISS MY ****** CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its been like a week and they still havnt gotten the clutch! :(

I feel a HUGE difference! I love it! But ya them bolts were a pain in my ass! I tried for ever and wasted a s*** load of that spray crap! Actually as a matter of fact we got new bolts cause they wouldnt come out of the cat. Any one have ideas on how the hell to get them out???
