Hopefully this wil get Mazda's attention re: the powerloss issue - check out the mph in the quarter mile, if thats not a misprint...something is very wrong. They even mention how sluggish it felt.

Wrong gas, 91 octane only available in california. Apparently it makes a huge difference on the ms6. Mazda should of known that was going to happen.

Hmmm...Very interesting...Seems like the MS6 can do better than that!...The octane being a major issue...I wonder what the "real world" results would be...Any owners have track time yet?

That Subby is surprisingly fast!

I don't know about "awesome"...It seems quite a few MS6 owners here have checked out the legacy before deciding on the MS6...I'm going to say there is A LOT more to the MS6 than R&T was able to reveal...

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The Legacy GT just pwns everything. After driving both the GT and the MS6. The Subaru just dominates it in every way shape and form. I was severly let down in the MS6.

We have 91 here..and some stations have 93. (dunno)

Except for a few interior features: no HID, no steering wheel controls, no auto-down windows, aux-in audio, to name just a few. To some these things are minor, to others they're important. Just an observation, having driven a TSX, LGT, and MS6 prior to deciding on the MS6.

my next car could be an LGT with a little bit of cobb here and there ;)
This is almost at the top of the list now after a lot of research.... still getting info on the MS6 now that there are more out there. Threads talking about them and reviews are really helping.

The local shop owner knows somebody that broke 12's in the 1/4 on a LGT with upgraded exhaust and cobb stage 2. Only had an Uppipe and bellmouth downpipe. For ~$1500 that is awesome. De-badge the GT Limited, go get some grocieries, and whooop somebody off the line that never saw it comin!!!

Don't know what gas, what map, etc...

That just seems like TOO big of a difference though. It took 18.7 sec to accelerate from 60-100mph - a mazda 3 would have pulled away from it!

What are the specs of the Spec B. engine in the Legacy? Is it the 3.0L, the 2.0 turbo or the 2.5 turbo? HP and transmission specs, too please!

So I answered my own questions...2.5L with same power as the standard GT. Car and Driver tested the GT in 2004 and got a 0-60 time of 5.7sec with the 5M. Road and Track doesn't have a reference to the 0-60 time their comparison with the TSX from 2004, but I bet its not 5.1sec, which seems like a very fast time for that car. I understand the maybe the suspension and wheel/tire upgrades could help this, but 5.1 is still fast for a 250HP sedan.
