So I won a set of H&R springs for my car back at the OCC meet. Well I was driving around and happened to pass a Midas so I figured, what the hell, I have them in the trunk, let's see how much they'll charge. Told the guy at the desk what I wanted, I guess he looked it up in the computer and came back with "I could have it done by the end of the day, take about 4 hours and would cost you $425." I almost s*** my pants. I know most of you will say just do it yourself which I probably could do, but I figure with the cost of renting the spring tool, I'd rather just have a shop professionally do it. What is a realistic price and does anyone know of a shop in north jersey where I could take it?
